Technology - Good Or Bad - Or is the Jury Still Out?
Many consider that technology is awful as it takes people away from the important things in life, such as family, community and love. This is a decent argument considering the evolutionary history of the human species, but obviously all technologies is not bad. For instance the Rural Poor of Honduras require little things like a solar panels for lighting for their schools, churches and septic tanks, or understanding of how to build them. In parts of Africa, they just have to learn how to drill wells for small villages for the off-rainy season. Tech, even the most basic technology could vastly enhance their lives, and it wouldn't even require that much, just a bit will be wonderful.
